This place was a great fit for a hurried visit in Oakland with good value. The staff was friendly and made check-in easy, which I appreciated. Bring cash for incidentals just in case.

Had a great time with friends! We visited the nearby park and a cool local diner. The location is fantastic, just steps away from eateries, making it super convenient. The pricing is great for a group stay. I definitely recommend staying here for its accessibility and comfortable vibe.
However, I noticed a frustrating experience when I called for inquiries. the service at times could be a bit dismissive, which may put a damper on your plans.

The Deluxe King Room was decent for the price. Bed was comfy enough, and I appreciated the free Wi-Fi. The shower pressure was good too, which is always nice. But the room felt a bit outdated, and there were a couple of maintenance issues that needed attention. Overall, it worked for the stay.

Comfortable stay, yet the wi-fi connection was spotty during my trip.

missingWrote a review on Jul 15outdated furnishings
The rooms could use some sprucing up. things felt a bit outdated and could be cleaner, especially the carpets. On top of that, the cash-only policy for extra nights is a real hassle. most places accept cards nowadays. Additionally, parking can get tight during peak hours, making you wonder if you'll find a spot.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially chilling by the pool and having a cozy breakfast in my deluxe king room. There’s a nice outdoor seating area and a small fire pit that added to the vibe. The only downside was a bit of noise from the street, but it didn’t ruin my experience. 😊

Convenience is a highlight here, as it's just across the street from the MEPS location, making it easy for families of recruits to visit. The affordable rates and the nearby dining options, especially the recommended buttermilk biscuits, enhance the experience. However, the rooms could use some updates, and there was a slight odor that lingered, which detracted from the overall comfort. Some buzzing from appliances made sleeping a bit challenging, too.
